Mekhela Chador is a traditional attire of Assam. It’s a two-piece dress consisting of Mekhela and Chador. The bottom portion, draped from the waist downwards, is called the Mekhela. The top portion, called the Chador, is a long piece of cloth that has one end tucked into the upper portion of the mekhela and the rest is draped around the chest and back.
